Our body with its perceptions in the here and now reflects only one dimension of our being. Besides the visible body, which many people perceive as the only thing that constitutes them, other bodies exist. They can be called energy bodies.

The best known of these is the astral body. During astral journeys (out-of-body journeys), which often take place spontaneously during sleep, our consciousness focuses on this energy body. The astral body is a fine-material image of our gross-material body. The astral body has a lower density and therefore other possibilities of locomotion. With the astral body it is possible to glide through solid matter, like walls, or to fly. Also, the thought of a certain place is already enough to abruptly change the environment.

The American sociologist William Buhlman and has been exploring the spheres of the non-physical world in self-initiated out-of-body journeys for several decades. Among other things, he has met and communicated with deceased relatives there. This communication works telepathically, just as in mediumistic afterlife contacts via pictures, small films and feelings. During his out-of-body journeys he has systematically researched the multitude of energy bodies and what is possible with them. He comes to the conclusion that these different energy bodies make it possible to explore the multidimensional universe on many energy levels.

In addition to the astral body, there are many other energy bodies, which more and more renounce form and finally lead to the pure bodiless consciousness of the soul. The soul is endowed with the highest frequency of vibration and the lowest density. It is the origin and center of our existence.
